Beautiful Spaces

You know you’re a designer when the food is considered second to the restaurant interior or the fashion is noticed only once you have weighed up the design of the retail fitout. Don’t get me wrong, I adore fashion and accessories as much as the next girl but I would call it a healthy relationship rather than an obsession. Design on the other hand is my love.

This beautiful retail space is designer Roksanda Illincic’s first London store, designed by herself in collaboration with Britain’s David Adjaye. Zigzagging terazzo flooring, layered cement walls and stacked joinery all set the tone for the store and brand. The reflective metals add contrast while floor to ceiling colour and softer textures define the separate salon and fitting rooms.
